You Should Get Off LinkedIn

Today we’re here to say, "You should get off LinkedIn!"

Why? Really? You’re asking us why?

Now that you’ve asked this, let’s dive into it.

LinkedIn is the professional networking platform everyone loves to hate. Trust us, it’s an excellent tool for networking, job searching, and personal branding, but only if you’re using it right.

If you're not, it's time to get off LinkedIn and make room for those who are.

Here are some signs that you're not using LinkedIn right:

You only log in once a year to update your job title and then forget about it.

You don't have a profile picture or worse, you have a selfie from your last vacation.

You last updated your profile a few months ago or even years ago.

You don't engage with other users' content, and your content rarely gets any engagement.

You use LinkedIn as a dating app, we are really hoping you don’t.

If any of these sound like you, it's time to look at your LinkedIn usage.

Here are some tips to get you started:

Engage with other users' content by commenting, liking, and sharing their posts. Engaging will help you build relationships and establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry.

Create content that showcases your expertise and provides value to your network. This content could be anything from blog posts to videos to infographics.

Join groups and participate in discussions to expand your network and learn from others in your industry.

By following these tips, you can turn LinkedIn into a powerful tool for networking, job searching, and personal branding. Who knows, you might even start to enjoy it.
